Dr. Donald Pelto is currently a podiatrist at Central Massachusetts Podiatry in Worcester Massachusetts. He holds staff privileges at University of Massachusetts Hospital and St. Vincent Hospital. Dr. Pelto greatly enjoys speaking about podiatry with a focus on amputation prevention and wound healing.

Dr. Pelto started working in Worcester with Dr. Neil Feldman after residency. He has greatly enjoyed staying in New England as the winters are much warmer than in Minnesota. When he is not working Dr. Pelto enjoys traveling to Brazil especially the state of Espirito Santo. Dr. Pelto has a large portion of Spanish and Portuguese speaking patients in his practice.

Dr. Pelto has put together a “Health Care Guide to Diabetes and Your Feet.” This free downloadable guide can help prevent foot wounds and avoid common mistakes you make if you have diabetes.

Born and raised Minnesota, he attended the University of Illinois in Chicago where he received a BA in History. He obtained his Doctorate in Podiatric Medicine from the Scholl College of Podiatry Medicine and completed a three year surgical residency in Worcester Massachusetts.

In addition, he is activity involved in the Toastmasters International Club in Worcester and as well in BNI. He offers frequent lectures to the community and yearly gives over 10 lectures for CME credit and public education. He is an active member of the Massachusetts Podiatric Medical Association as well as the American Podiatric Medical Association.

When not in the office, Dr. Pelto spends most of his time playing acoustic guitar, being involved in his church and traveling.
