Earlier this year, the MFAS Board of Trustees voted to establish a Resident Research Grant program to support the activities on Residents in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. Each grant is $500 and will be provided by the Society to support costs associated with completing research and presenting at local and national conferences.
Application and Selection
The grant application is online, below. Applications will be reviewed by the Board on a rolling basis. There is not maximum number of grants, however individuals are limited to one grant per calendar year. Funds may be used for a variety of purposes including but not limited to: direct costs associate with their research, printing, travel, meeting registration, etc. The funds may not be used for personal expenses not related to the project.
Grant applicants must be Resident Members of MFAS and APMA. Upon the completion of their project, grantees will submit a written report to the MFAS Board of Trustees describing the project and how the grant funds were used. This report will be published in the MFAS Newsletter, on the website, and MFAS social media.
